What are speech and language Issues?

Speech and language issues refer to an individual having difficulties in articulation and communication. Of which, speech delay is of the most common among those who have been diagnosed with speech and language issues. What is speech delay?

Speech delay is one type of communication disorder. It is defined when an individual has not met the language developmental milestone at each age group.

Signs and symptoms of speech delay

  • Difficulty following instructions 

  • No sign of babbling by 15 months 

  • Poor pronunciation and articulation 

  • Omitting linking words in a sentence 

  • Inability to speak in proper sentences by 3 years old 

  • Unable to comprehend what he or she is speaking by 3 years old
